Exactly how is it my husband and I, who are already in a room self-isolating since the County checked us into here 3.19.20 but now they expect us to load up and move to a place full of COVID-19 positive or exposed folks, exactly how do we NOT qualify (husband 68 years old with liver cancer) for FEMA assistance? 

ANSWER:  Because the County wants to save money by putting us in either a group home or a “homeless motel”.  $600 a week where we are versus $650 a month for the group home with 3 other previously-homeless couples and a house mother.

Ahh, yes here comes FEMA (and Trump) to the rescue:

I expect someone to eventually explain to me (after I sue them) why exactly we didn’t get help for the 4th and 5th week of this pandemic when it gets really bad (as Trump was on TV explaining today).

Not with this kind of detailed Press Conference going on.

I was on the phone with the County DHA (Dept of Human Assistance) at 10:20 am and this Press conference came on while we were eating lunch. My mouth fell open when Governor Newsom announced that laundry and three meals a day would be provided. This is exactly what I put in the paper we dropped off at the Drop Box for Dept #47 at the Sacramento County Court.

 

In the above video (that broadcast just a couple hours after I was on the phone with the County) Governor announced that there were three categories. I emailed the above-mentioned Ombudsperson at 12:45 pm about it. Because she had used the word “non-congregant” which the Governor used three or four times. That means a “motel”
